Jesica Marquez

Jes is a Creative Technologist & Engineer at W+K Lodge. She studied Computer Science and Apparel Design at San Francisco State University. She blends design with emerging technologies to create magical experiences, physical installations and digital innovations. As a woman of color, she strives to diversify and create a more inclusive environment in the technology industry.

Some of her recent accomplishments include receiving the ADCOLOR FUTURES award, becoming an Innovation Design Finalist for the UNICEF Wearables For Good Global Challenge, speaking on the Women of Color in Tech panel at CODE2040, and hosting a VR workshop for Women Who Code.

Some of her recent projects include creating a playable piano made of real bananas, which was featured in a performance on Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show, producing educational content to help kids learn how to code through a programmable robot called Cozmo, and developing KFC's employee training program, where employees learn to cook fried chicken through a virtual reality game.
