Stefania Web Small

Stefania Druga

Stefania is a graduate student in the Personal Robots research group at MIT. Her research focuses on how children interact with and make sense of the growing collection of “smart” inter-connected playthings in the world around them together with their parents and grand-parents.

She is exploring how families, as they play with these new devices, develop new ways of thinking about intelligence, emotion, and social interaction. Based on these studies, Stefania hopes to design new tools and activities to introduce families to machine learning and artificial intelligence in a playful way.

She is especially interested in how embodied intelligent agents could play an active role in supporting children and their families to learn more about artificial intelligence through playful activities. Previously she co-founded Hackidemia organization (mobile lab for maker Education present in 40 countries), Afrimakers (community of Maker projects in 10 Africa countries) and MakerCamp (global camps for learning how to build and run makerspaces).

The Future of Work II

This year we have decided to stay in the direction we took last year and look deeper into the questions concerning the part of our lives where we spend the most of our time awake; our work.

We will ask questions and hopefully provide answers.

Why is it that as little as one out of ten people are actually engaged in their job? Is it leadership or the workplace that create this or something else?

How does the ever increasing role of AI and robots impact us as humans? What are the creative opportunities, what new skills do we need and will there even be jobs for all of us?

To find answers to these questions and more, we have invited a number of speakers with expertise in these areas to share their stories.

Welcome to #CRESUM18.

We are extremely proud of our partners and the network that has been built since the first Creative Summit event took place in 2007. And we're always looking for new partners to work with, so if you have an interesting idea for a Creative Summit event or you'd like to learn more about how you can become a partner, please contact us.
